STONTECCH panels are engineered by chemically extracting a layer (1mm-1.5mm thick) of natural stone from it’s slab. This layer is bonded to a strong polyester resin reinforced with a fiber glass mat under controlled pressure & heat to produce a light weight yet strong panel of natural stone.
FLEXTONE panels are made with a backing of composite Polymer that makes it ultra-light weight, yet strong and bendable. An incredible benefit of this product is its enhanced flexibility that allows you to install the product on any curved surface such as circular columns or curved walls. These panels are bendable up to 60°
-A brick wall has to be finished with a rough plaster.
-AAC / CLC block wall needs no surface preparation.
-RCC surface needs no preparation.
Aluminum Framing :
-Fixing of Aluminum framing should be done in a grid pattern and measuring a maximum of 610 mmx 610 mmc/c.
-An Aluminum framing in box section of size 38mm x 25mm / 50mm x 25mm should be used in case of exterior application.
-Use diamond coated blades of good quality for cutting the panels as per requirement.
-The machine used for cutting should be a high speed cutter.
-The blades must be changed regularly after cutting a certain number of panels to achieve a clean finish.
-Once a side is cut, it is mandatory to use a 100 GSM sandpaper to smoothen the edges and apply the water repellent coat, using a brush.
-After fixing of Aluminum frame and before applying any tapes, silicone or adhesives, care should be taken to clean the aluminum frame by wiping it’s surface using I.P.A Cleaner and a clean cloth (as per sealant manufacturer’s guidelines). This ensures that there is no dust/contaminant affecting the bond between the adhesives/silicone and the aluminum surface.
-Similarly, also clean the backside of the stontecch panel before sticking it on the Aluminum framing .
-After cleaning the aluminum surface of the frame, apply a coat of DOWSIL 1200-c primer on the aluminum frame surface and rare surface area of the stontecch panel which will be stuck on the frame.
-Immediately start applying a 3m two way tape and structural sealant (DOWSIL 795 / ALSTONE SS 900) along the entire running length of the aluminum framing.
-Allow the silicone to dry for about 24 hours in order to achieve complete adhesion of the panel over the framing structure.
– The joints between the two panels shall be filled using weather sealants.
-Clean the surface of the affixed panel after its application using a damp cloth to remove any accumulated dust.
